Lauryn Hill Waits Two Months Before Indirectly Responding to Wyclef’s Accusations

During Wyclef’s media tour for his book, he put all of Lauryn Hills business in the street.  Accusations from the book hit the radio and blogs the most damaging came when Wyclef Alleged that Lauryn led him to believe that he was the father of her son.  Clef says,

‘I was married and Lauryn and I were having an affair, but she led me to believe that the baby was mine, and I couldn’t forgive that. She could no longer be my muse. Our love spell was broken.’

Days after this statement and the book was released, we waited to hear from Lauryn Hill, but there was nothing in response.  Weeks, and now months. …

Then…finally we get a response.  It’s indirect, but I’m sure it’s a response.

This weekend, Hill appeared in a concert with Nas and although she never says Wyclef’s name directly or mentions his book, or the accusations, we are pretty sure we know who and what she was referring to,

When you are on the other side of liberation, just make sure you are not late. Be careful how you judge, there is a lot of deception out there. A lot of misunderstanding out there. A lot of miscommunication out there. A lot of false information out there. And notice, out of all the people who talk talk talk, who’s the silent one. There’s a lot of chat, but me….

The problem with waiting so long to respond, oh queen, who is ahead of the curve…you resurrect topics and books that we all forgot about already.  Cheers for helping Wyclef sell a few more books with your late self-riotous commentary.   You might have no lied about who your son’s father is, but you still slept with married black men while preaching to our youth.
