Take That! Author who Tried Suing John Travolta forced to Pay The Six Figure Legal Bill!
Maybe this will deter people from coming forward with fake-ass accusations in the future. Robert Randolph, author of “You’ll Never Spa in This Town Again” has been ordered to pay the actor’s legal bill.
The author’s original claim was that John Travolta and his lawyer Marty Singer accused the writer of having mental problems, thus portraying him as an unreliable source which would impact his ability to sell books.
This claim was swiftly thrown out of court, but not before Travolta racked up $139,645.17 in legal fees, all of which Randolph will now have to pay.
Travolta’s lawyer Singer was also named in the suit, but he knew almost immediately that it would get thrown out. Back in June of this year, Singer released his own statement regarding the suit,
This is a ridiculous lawsuit. It is based on our letter which was completely privileged under the law. We intend to sue the attorneys for malicious prosecution after the court promptly dismisses this baseless lawsuit.
Singer was 100% right, and says that this should be a lesson for anyone else, who wants to take on Travolta,
‘This legal fee award is another complete and total victory for Mr. Travolta. Anyone else who files a ridiculous lawsuit against him should expect a similar outcome.’
Singer has been earning his money, many of the original accusations of sexual harassment and sexual misconduct by Travolta have since been retracted and no new ones have come forth.
I bet that $139,645.17 was for like two hours of Singer’s time and a memo.
John Travolta’s net worth is: $160 million
