Watch Interview as Jaime Foxx Confirms his Role as Electro In The New Spiderman Movie.
There has been a ton of rumors flying that Jamie Foxx would be playing Electro in the new Spiderman sequel, something that I thought was not going to happen, but alas….I was wrong.
During an interview with MTV, Jamie let out what I thought was way too much information about his character Max Dillon. He says that he won’t’ have the traditional lightning bolts by the head. He says that the suit will make sense for 2013.
“It won’t be like that. Marc Webb and all of those guys, they’re smart. They know that it has to make sense in 2013, so the suit is really slick. It’s actually black. It’s a new age.”
He also gives a lot of details regarding his character Max Dillon’s back story,
“You’ll see that in his whole life, no one is talking to him. People have stolen his ideas at the big company. He’s a nobody, At a certain point, Spider-Man bumps into him and says, ‘You’re my guy. You’re my eyes and ears on the street.’ And he says his name – no one has ever said Dillon’s name.” Dillon’s encounter with Spidey makes him “sort of starts thinking that somehow, he’s Spider-Man’s partner.”
I guess if you are a fan then you sort of know the story, but it just seemed like Jamie was dishing out way more information then we usually get this early.
We are still quite a ways out from the sequel which is expected to be released May 2, 2014. Let’s hope Jamie doesn’t get in trouble for revealing too much. At the same time, it’s Jamie Foxx so it’s hard to tell if he’s serious or not.
Here is the clip, you tell me but I think he’s serious.
