Sheen Apologizes for Homophobic Slur Used During Party Promotion In Mexico. [video]

I must say that Charlie has been on his best behavior, giving money to Lindsay Lohan and donating to cancer patients, and even now, this isn’t really that bad.  I guess that depends on who you ask.

WHAT HAD HAPPENED WAS….. 

Charlie was hosting the grand opening of a bar in Cabo San Lucas.  The bar is located on the rooftop of the El Ganzo Hotel, which Sheen is part owner of.

This event was hyped by Sheen all week and included such musical guests like Slash from Guns N’ Roses and attended by high profile guests such as Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa.

In attempts to get the crowd riled up Charlie let a homophobic slur slip! In his attempt to get the dead crowd to chant his name…with a “Z” (Like Sheenz), he was a little over zealous and let the F word slip.

“Lying bunch of f—-t a–holes, how we doing?”

Oops!  Charlie must have been absent the last 10 years when we as a society agreed that the “F” word was no longer acceptable.

AND NOW..THE HALF ASS APOLOGY.

Sheen attempted an Apology to TMZ, he said,

“I meant no ill will and intended to hurt no one and I apologize if I offended anyone, I meant to say maggot but I have a lisp.”

Pretty lame excuse, even as far as lame excuses go.  Does he really have a lisp?  I don’t think so.  I don’t ever remember Sheen having a lisp do you?  Why not just say, I’m Charlie Sheen and I f**cked up.  Either way it doesn’t matter.  That was his hotel, his party and his fans.  I don’t think anyone there cared either way.
