Why Did Jennifer Lawrence Get Dissed by Abercrombie & Fitch? Her Face!

A&F didn’t just reject Jennifer Lawrence, they had her come in, take part in a photo shoot with other models and then they rejected her.

Before the success of Hunger Games and most recently, Silver Linings Play Book, Jennifer Lawrence was doing some modeling.  She explained to Conan O’Brien, that Abercrombie and Fitch rejected her….after booking the job.

The theme of the photo shoot was football and Jennifer Lawrence and the rest of the models were posing as if they were “sexy” football players.  As an actress, Jennifer took this as an opportunity to jump into character.  She tells Conan,

“There’s this one picture where this girl’s just about to catch this football, and behind her, I’m, like, flared nostrils, red face, my hair’s crazy and I’m mid-air—raaaaah!”

She clearly over did it.  At one point during the photoshoot, the model that was posing as if she’s going to catch the football pointed at Lawrence and said,

‘Get her away from me!’

After the ad campaign ran and Lawrence did not see any photos that included her, Lawrence’s agent asked Ambercrombie and Fitch, how come Jennifer’s shots weren’t used?

Instead of answering, they just mailed over the photos.  Ouch!!

I’m sure that hurt then, now it’s just a good story as Lawrence has since moved on and has blown up!  With her critically acclaimed success in Silver Lining Playbook she’s a heavy Oscar contender.

Take that Abercrombie & Fitch!
