Did Robin Thicke Really Quit Real Husbands of Hollywood?

I have been holding this story in hopes that Robin Thicke’s camp would release some type of statement but so far “NADA!’.

This week the singer used the BET platform for the show to launch his new video Blurred Lines which premiered during the show’s season finale.  The show has been doing incredibly well.  The Season finale premiered Tuesday night to a total of 2.2 million viewers making it cables #1 sitcom for 18-49 year olds.  That’s the meat and potatoes of ratings.

Despite the super success, the rumor mill has been buzzing after it was reported that Thicke did not show up on the set while the cast was there to shoot their second season.  As the cast and crew waited, Thicke was a no show.  Further rumors have it that his people called and told BET,

“Keep the money because Robin is not doing the show anymore.”

They feel that it’s damaging to his brand and that the show does not cater to his demographic.

The reason I haven’t fully brought into this is that BET is Robin’s demographic.  When you are on a show with Boris Kodjoe, top rated in the 18-49 demographic there are a ton of black women.  Those are his fans.

Is pressure from Justin Timberlake’s grown and sexy approach and recent album sales threatening the Thicke brand  At first I would say no, and that would be BECAUSE he was on RHOH, but now without that platform and all the BET support, JT will eat him alive.
