Brad Paisley and LL Cool J Record what Might be the Worse Rap Song Ever!!!

Country music superstar Brad Paisley is known for his “clever” lyrics and his songs that are filled with southern pride. He knows the market he is in and he gives the people exactly what they want. Does his voice sound like a dying seal? Sure! Are all his songs full of silly rhymes and clichés? You bet! However, he still manages to top the charts because he knows his audience better than anyone else.

So, when Brad Paisley started writing the lyrics to his new song, “Accidental Racist” he just had to know it was going to be a huge hit! Well, it turns out that Brad Paisley might have went a bit too far with this song. He recorded the song with LL Cool J because he probably felt like he had to have a black person in the song. I’m not sure why LL Cool J agreed to do this, but maybe he just really needed the money or something. Anyway, the song is absolutely cringe worthy!

“I’m just a white man comin’ to you from the Southland

Tryin’ to understand what it’s like not to be

I’m proud of where I’m from but not everything we’ve done

And it ain’t like me and you can rewrite history.”

Paisley sings in the song. He continues with the awkward lyrics when he talks about how he tries to put himself in “your” shoes, but then goes onto explain that he can’t possibly walk a mile in someone else’s skin. LL Cool J then joins in on the fun and drops his awkward verse,

“Dear Mr. White Man, I wish you understood

What the world is really like when you’re livin’ in the hood

Just because my pants are saggin’ doesn’t me I’m up to no good

You should try to get to know me, I really wish you would

Now my chains are gold but I’m still misunderstood.”

And that’s not even the worst of it! The following quote is an actual lyric from the song, “RIP Robert E. Lee but I’ve gotta thank Abraham Lincoln for freeing me, know what I mean.” Is that not the most awkward rap lyric of all time? It’s like Brad and LL Cool J tried to write a parody to their own song. It’s so hilariously awkward that it actually doesn’t sound racist at all. It just sounds like a terrible song, which Brad Paisley is known for.

“This isn’t a stunt. This isn’t something that I just came up with just to be shocking or anything like that. I knew it would be, but I’m sort of doing it in spite of that, really.” Paisley told Entertainment Weekly. Oh, come on! It’s exactly why he is doing this, to be shocking, different and “deep.” There is just one huge problem…the song sucks! No one would have a problem with it if the song was actually good, but it’s terrible! The lyrics are terrible, the singing is terrible, the rapping is terrible and did I mention that the whole thing is just terrible?
