Kid Rock Proud to be an American, Embarrassed to be a Republican

Kid Rock is one of the few celebrities out there that openly admits to being a republican. It’s no secret that the entertainment world definitely leans left, but Kid Rock has remained loyal to his republican roots. He even campaigned for Mitt Romney in the last election, a decision that might have cost him a few fans. However, it appears that even Kid Rock is growing tired of being a Republican.

“I’m f–king embarrassed to be a Republican. It’s f–king Republican lawmakers passing those laws, you dumba–es. They already did it in New York and they’re trying to do it in Michigan. I’ve even called some of those guys to try and stop it.” Kid told Rolling Stone, referring to legislation that has raised ticket prices to concerts. He goes on to talk explain why he still votes Republican,

“People in this country just hate each other for voicing an opinion, especially in my business. I’m like the f–king lone wolf. Look, I tend to vote Republican, but I don’t like the hardcore views on either side and I’m not in bed with anybody. I’d probably be more Libertarian, but I’m a firm believer you have to pick a side. I can’t be playing in the middle. If you think differently, that’s fine. I’d love to grab a beer and hear why you think that way.” Kid Rock said in the interview.

Well, that seems like a reasonable why to look at things. I’m not sure why he feels like you “have to” pick a side, especially when both sides are equally as stupid, but maybe he’ll invite me out for a beer and we can discuss it.

Shoot me an e-mail, Mr. Rock.
