X Factor Close to Signing on New Judges. Will Kelly Rowland and Paulina Rubio Bring Ratings?

Fans of the X Factor have been waiting very patiently to find out who would fill the empty spots that were left behind by Britney Spears and L.A. Reid. We knew that Simon Cowell and Demi Lovato would be returning, but who the heck was going to join them? It seemed like it took forever for them to decide, but it looks like they now have made a decision. Sources connected with the show have told E! News that Kelly Rowland and Paulina Rubio are in “final talks” with the show.

Not surprisingly, this news comes just a few days before the X Factor is required to have all four judges signed on. They are scheduled to begin filming for the new season on Tuesday. Many peple are surprised that Fox did not try to get any “big” names, but it is believed they wanted to move away from that. After all, Britney Spears didn’t really work for them last season, and Mariah Carey certainly didn’t work for American Idol this year.

Sources claim that Fox focused more on finding celebrities with some judging experience. Kelly Rowland was a judge on the eighth season of the X Factor UK, and Rubio was a judge on La Voz…Mexico. The official announcement of the hiring of the new judges should come sometime today, at least according to Mr. Simon Cowell.  Cowell tweeted over the weekend,

“We start x factor auditions in Charleston on Tuesday. The new panel will be announced on Monday. This is going to be an interesting show!”

Rowland and Rubio, huh? I actually think those are two solid choices. They didn’t go for the big celebrity, they went with people that have personality. I like it! Looking forward to watching the show this year.
