Ciara Sued By Gay Bar
The knockoff version of Rihanna was sued this weekend while she was in the middle of a performance! Ciara reportedly canceled a performance at a gay bar this weekend, and that bar has decided to sue her for breach of contract. She was served papers while she was performing a song at LA Pride on Saturday night.
TMZ actually has video of her getting served. In the video you can see Ciara grab the papers and then toss them back at the lady who gave them to her. Again, this all stems from the fact that Ciara bailed on the West Hollywood club known as, “The Factory.” The club was notified that Ciara would not be able to make it, but the club has decided to sue for breach of contract. Reps for Ciara spoke about the lawsuit this weekend and said her appearance at LA Pride contractually prevented her from performing at The Factory.
A rep for the singer told TMZ the following…
[more…]“Ciara’s commitment to perform at L.A. Gay Pride on Saturday night prevented her from making such a Friday night appearance. Despite being notified early last week that Ciara could not appear, The Factory continued to market and promote Ciara’s appearance. The reason for the continued marketing/promotion is unclear, as it is not known why The Factory would intend to continue to mislead the public, to cause damage to the L.A. Gay Pride Festival and to attempt to portray Ciara in a negative light.”
Sounds like this club is just wanting attention. They probably continued to promote the performance to get all the people in their club, right? At least, I think that is how it works. I’ve never actually been to a club, unless you consider the Subway Fan Club. I get free coupons and sh-t. I’m not trying to brag or anything, but if you ever need a Turkey sandwich and a bag of Sunchips…I am your man.
Anyway, Ciara’s “people” have not yet said anything about the paper serving incident. Although, we’re sure they’re not happy about it. I have a feeling Ciara will be performing at the club within a few weeks and all will be forgotten. In fact, I remember something similar happening to someone a few years back. I can’t remember the performer’s name, but I remember he settled the dispute by agreeing to do a free show.
We’ll see what happens.
