Octomom Under Investigation for Fraud

Nadya ‘Octomom’ Suleman is now under investigation for welfare fraud. The investigation started when investigators received a tip that claimed Nadya was collecting thousands of dollars in government assistance. Not a big deal, right? Who doesn’t receive government assistance these days. Well, there is just one problem, Nadya grossed more than $200,000 last year! What the heck was she doing with all this money? It’s not like she has 14 mouths to feed, oh wait, she does!

It’s being reported by TMZ that investigators from the ‘WFP&I’ are currently in the process of seizing Octomom’s bank records and other important documents from the mother of 14 to determine if she is guilty of welfare fraud. It certainly sounds like they have a case, considering you’re not supposed to make more than $119,000 while receiving benefits. A full search of her house and the office of her manager will take place, as well. If she is found guilty of fraud, she could face up to three years in prison.

It was reported last month by RadarOnline that Suleman had collected more than $60,000 in welfare benefits in 2012. The same year she received more than $33,000 for her “self-pleasure” tape. She also received pretty big checks from stripping and several other “business” adventures. In fact, RadarOnline actually talked with a boxing promoter from Philadelphia who hired Suleman last year. He said that he is more than willing to help out with any investigation,

“I can confirm I was contacted. I intend on providing evidence because in all, Octo-Mom received more than $20,000 dollars from me.” he told the website. She also received close to $60,000 from an organization called ‘DD Entertainment LLC’ and she received $57,000 from another firm. That’s close to $160,000 total when you include the money she received from her self-pleasure tape.

So, why did she need welfare help? Well, when she had to go back on it back in January, a rep for the mother claimed she had spent most of her savings while she was in the treatment center…

“She spent most her savings while she was in Chapman Treatment center, paying for around-the-clock nannies, drivers, security and her treatment program.”

So far, neither Suleman or her attorney has commented on the investigation. However, we’re sure that will change very soon. They’ll find some way to spin it and make it look like everyone is just ganging up on the poor mother of 14. I don’t feel sorry for her, I feel sorry for her kids, but I don’t feel sorry for her.
