Dumb and Dumber Sequel Coming to a Theatre Near You!

It’s been back and forth this past year. First there were reports that there was going to be a sequel and that Jim Carrey was coming back for it. But then it was reported that Jim Carrey backed out of the project and the whole thing fell apart. However, Dumb and Dumber fans can now celebrate because the Farrelly Brothers have officially announced that Universal will provide the funding for the movie!

Apparently, they might even start shooting this fall and Jim Carrey is said to be back on board. Jim’s co-star Jeff Daniels will also be back. The film could potentially be released next summer, if it all goes well. The film is expected to follow Carrey and Daniels on a long road trip, similar to the idea behind the first movie.

Not much else is known about the movie though. However, I think it is safe to assume it will be better than that horrible prequel, “Dumb and Dumberer” which was a complete failure of a movie. Jim Carrey didn’t have any part in that movie, so hopefully this upcoming sequel is a lot better than the prequel. I’m fairly certain Jim Carrey wouldn’t agree to do the project if he didn’t think they had a good story to work with.

I will admit to liking one scene in that horrible prequel. It was the scene where Bob Saget started to rage about all of the “sh-t” on his walls. Does anybody remember that? You can watch the video down below to refresh your memory.
