Actress Says Cory Monteith’s Death Is Not Shocking

Kristen Johnston, best known for her work on ‘3rd Rock From The Sun’ as well as her new show on TV Land, ‘The Exes.’ She talked to the HuffingtonPost yesterday about her new book, but it is what she said about Cory Monteith’s death that got all the attention.

“Whatever happened, I’m sure it was somehow involved with his addiction. It’s just terribly, terribly sad. However, it’s completely not shocking to me.”

She says this because she has experience with drug addictions. She has struggled with alcohol and drug abuse in the past, so she knows just how hard overcoming an addiction can be. The 45-year-old actress is reportedly clean now and appears to have her addiction under control right now.

It’s interesting that she just jumped right out there and blamed Cory’s death on his drug addiction. While that is the most likely scenario, we still don’t know that for sure. So, she is taking a bit of a risk by just putting it all out there.

We will know exactly what caused his death very soon, though. The autopsy took place yesterday and officials are “speeding” up the entire process because of the publicity. In fact, toxicology tests that normally take six weeks to come back, could be made available in just two or three days. It is very possible that we know something by the end of this week.
