Lindsay Lohan’s Much Anticipated Interview with Oprah

With all of the hype leading up to the interview, it seems as if we have been waiting for it to air for years now. In reality it hasn‘t been that long at all, but the interview finally did air last night and Lohan admitted to being an addict in the interview.

Oprah asked her right away if she was an addict and Lohan replied with, “Yeah” she then went on to say that alcohol was her drug of choice, but drinking often led to other things,

“(Alcohol) in the past was a gateway to other things for me. I tried cocaine with alcohol.”

She claims to be drug and alcohol free right now. She even says she is no longer taking Adderall, the only prescription drug she takes now is “Nexium” for acid reflux.

Lindsay also admitted that she thinks she subconsciously really wanted to go to jail,

“At that point, I strangely — you know, being in my addiction and everything and having all the chaos around me that I was so comfortable with — I somewhere inside knew, and kind of wanted, to go to jail. And I think that was subconsciously being put out there by me, just by my actions, or lack thereof. I think it was just to find some peace and just have no choice to just sit and be.”

You know, watching that interview and seeing how she is acting now, it really does seem like she is truly better now. But it is just so hard not to think that this might be some act. We’ve seen this in the past, maybe not to this extreme, but we’ve seen her “get clean” in the past.

It’s going to take a lot more than this to make me fully believe she will stay clean now. Of course, it takes a lot to convince me of things. It took me five years to believe that she actually didn’t have a twin sister in real life. That Parent Trap movie really f–ked with my mind.
