Craig Robinson Busted With 18 Ecstasy Pills In The Bahamas

The hilarious actor Craig Robinson got himself in a little trouble the other day when he was detained in the Bahamas after custom agents found marijuana and 18 ecstasy pills on him.

Robinson was trying to leave to fly back to the states before the agents found the drugs. A member of the Royal Bahamas Police Force told reporters that it was, “nothing major.”

However, the 41-year-old actor was taken into custody where he appeared before a magistrate. He pleaded guilty to the two counts of drug possession and was ordered to pay a $1,000 fine. Not a bad deal when you consider he could have been doing some time in prison.

Apparently, Robinson claimed that he didn’t know the drugs were illegal there. It seems like Robinson might be confused about the drug laws everywhere because back in 2008 he was busted in California for having ecstasy on him, and methamphetamine. He was able to get those charges dismissed because he completed a diversion program.

The actor has not commented on the arrest and his publicist, as well as his former lawyer have declined to comment on the matter.

I loved this dude in Hot Tub Time Machine, which was a very underrated film, but I am a little concerned by him having 18 ecstasy pills on him. Was he going to a rave? Maybe I am just clueless about drugs, but I can’t see why someone would need 18 ecstasy pills on them.
