Ja Rule Coming Out With Prison Inspired Cookbook

Get your microwaves ready, folks! Ja Rule announced some exciting news the other day on Geoffrey Zakarian’s show, “Food Talk.”

The 37-year-old rapper revealed that is he working on a “microwave cookbook” that was inspired by his two-year stint in prison for illegal gun possession. He claims that he never really had to eat “prison food” in prison because you can get creative if you try hard enough.

He told TMZ the following,

“(The food inside) is not too good but you get packages and stuff like that. You can eat pretty good. You can eat decent enough. I ate everything. In jail, they’re pretty crafty. We made lasagna, we made cheesecakes, we had lots of things. I really didn’t eat prison food.”

He apparently gained around 30 pounds in the two years he was in prison, so we guess he was eating some pretty good food. Ja Rule says that every recipe in the book will be “microwavable” because that’s how they had to do it in prison.

I’m not sure why, but I really want to read this damn cookbook. Microwavable cheesecake sounds fantastic. I love how every recipe in this book is going to end with, “beep…beep…beep.” That has to be one of the most satisfying noises in the world.

One question though, will the cookbook itself be microwavable?
