Katy Perry To Female Pop Stars: Stop Getting Naked!
Katy Perry has stripped down for cameras before, but she claims that it’s just a small tool she pulls out every now and then. As opposed to other female pop stars who seem to strip down every chance they get.
The 29-year-old singer talked with NPR about the problem with female pop stars these days,
“I do see myself becoming this, whatever, inspiration out of default right now, ‘cause it’s such a strange world. Like females in pop…everybody’s getting naked. I mean, I’ve been naked before but I don’t feel like I have to get naked to be noticed. It’s interesting to see.”
She was then asked if she was talking about anybody in particular, but she insists she is not talking about anybody specifically…
[more…]“I’m talking about all of them. I mean, it’s like everybody’s so naked. It’s like, put it away. We all know that you’ve got it. I got it too. I’ve taken it off for…I’ve taken it out here and there. And I’m not necessarily judging.
I’m just saying sometimes it’s nice to play that card but also it’s nice to play other cards. I know I have that sexy card in my deck but I don’t always have to use that card.”
Oh, Katy. I would love to agree with you and applaud you for speaking out against the nakedness. However, it just sounds extremely hypocritical coming from you. You might not be stripping down naked now, but you were very promiscuous when you first started out.
I hate to say it, but your “sexy” behavior at the beginning of your career is probably why you’re so popular right now. I mean, we all remember this amazing GIF, right?
Oh and what about when she ruined Elmo for all of us…
Yeah, I don’t think Katy Perry can really say anything about this subject. She has used her big ol’ breasts to get where she is today, and we certainly thank her for that.
