The Kardashian’s Christmas Card Cost HOW MUCH?
Most of you have seen the frightening Kardashian Christmas card photo by now. If you’re one of the few who haven’t seen it, you can check it out down below.
But we’re just going to warn you, it’s terrible and you shouldn’t stare at any longer than you would stare at the sun.
Anyway, we told you yesterday that the photographer behind the photo was David LaChapelle. Well, Mr. LaChapelle got a huge paycheck for taking the Christmas card photo.
How huge are we talking? A quarter of a million dollars huge! That’s right, he received $250,000 for taking the incredibly strange photo you see above.
[more…]Before we all start making fun of the Kardashians for paying someone $250,000 to take a Christmas card photo, we should mention that their production company paid for the entire thing.
A source said the following,
“It took three days to put the set together. David was extremely involved in all details on the set installation. It was Kim’s idea to get David to do the family photo Christmas picture. At first, David balked because he does photo shoots for major magazines.
But Kim convinced him to do it. It wasn’t a cheap photo shoot, and the production company paid the $250,000 invoice.”
That’s just insane! Who spends that much money on a freaking Christmas card? The production company could have donated that money to charity or something. It’s such a shame to waste that much money on something so incredibly silly.
You know how most families take Christmas photos? They drink a lot of wine, put on ugly Christmas sweaters and then take a simple family photo in their living room before everyone passes out.
