Chad Smith And Will Ferrell Participate In Magical Drum-Off On The Tonight Show (VIDEO)

The long-awaited battle between Will Ferrell and Red Hot Chili Peppers rocker Chad Smith finally went down last night. The intense drum-off took place on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

As some of you may know, the idea for a drum-off came earlier this year during Will Ferrell’s Reddit AMA.

“It has been acknowledged many times that myself and Chad Smith, drummer for the Red Hot Chili Peppers, share a resemblance to each other. A lot of people think that it’s me playing for the Red Hot Chili Peppers. But that would be an insult to Chad Smith. The truth of the matter is there is no Will Ferrell. Only Chad Smith.”

The real Chad Smith responded to Will Ferrell by challenging him to a drum battle. Will Ferrell agreed to do it, but only for charity. The funnyman decided to raise money for Cancer for College and Smith decided to support Little Kids Rock.

And last week, Fallon announced that the drum-off would take place on his show May 22. He told the audience that Smith and Ferrell would finally settle who’s the better drummer once and for all.

Are we 100% sure they aren’t the same person? They look exactly alike! Anyway, the drum-off was excellent. Although, I am a little disappointed Will Ferrell didn’t pull out his nutsack.
