Bret Michaels Suffers Medical Emergency While On Stage In Manchester

Bret Michaels has suffered another medical emergency. The 51-year-old rocker almost died back in 2010 with a brain hemorrhage. He was in intensive care for almost two weeks.

Now the Poison frontman is dealing with another medical scare. He had to be dragged off the stage last night in Manchester, “I’ve never seen a look like the one on his face as if I was a complete stranger.” Michaels’ guitarist, Pete Evick, told fans on Facebook.

Bret is a Type-1 diabetic, and he started to experience extremely low blood sugar levels just three songs in. As we said, Bret had to be dragged off stage. Paramedics were waiting on his tour bus. He was then transported to the hospital.

“When I rushed to the bus he could barley speak, but begged me to apologize to the fans and seemed only concerned for them. As of now he is with paramedics being evaluated. We will keep you posted throughout the evening.”

Someone on Michaels’ team posted on his Twitter account to give thanks to the paramedics who helped him out.

He has concerts scheduled for this weekend. We’re still not sure if he will be able to perform. He will probably do everything in his power to get back on stage, but it’s probably best if he takes the weekend off.
