Michael Johns, American Idol Finalist, Dies Suddenly
Michael Johns, a former America Idol Finalist, died suddenly on Friday, shocking fans around the world. The Australian singer was only 35 when he passed away.
While no official cause of death has been released, it is believed that he died from a blood clot, that originated in his ankle. According to sources close to the singer, he went to the doctor on Thursday complaining of pain in his ankle and passed away in his sleep later that night.
Johns was the 8th runner up in season 7 of American Idol and recorded an album, Hold Back my Heart, in 2009. While his album only sold about 20,000 copies, Johns had a cult following and was continuing to build his music career.
He leaves behind his wife Stacey Vuduris, who he married in 2007.
