This is part of Beijing initiative to crack down on drug use amongst celebrities. If this was Hollywood weed, would not even be considered a drug. There would not be enough cops to even began arresting.
This has to be devastating and embarrassing for Jackie Chan. Although it’s just weed, Jackie Chan was pointed as an anti-drug ambassador by China’s National Narcotics Control Commission in 2009.
There has been a publicized rift between Jackie Chan and his son. There were rumors that the elder Chan did not want to work with his son on any films. Finally he gave in and Jackie Chan’s 100Th film featured Jacyee. This was Chan’s worse reviewed and worse performing movie to date.
Jacyee’s lifestyle of fast money and fast cars have always been an issue for Jackie. In fact it frustrated Jackie so much, during an awards ceremony in Beijing, Jackie announced that Jacyee would be getting none of his money and that he would be donating all to charity when he died.
