George Clooney Finally Ties the Knot
It looks like those engagement rumors we reported in April were true! On Saturday, George Clooney married civil rights lawyer Amal Alamuddin in a private ceremony in Venice.
The two spent most of their time celebrating in an exclusive hotel on the Grand Canal. The Floating City, accessible only by boat, is said to cost up to $5000 per night to stay. The party itself was flooded by A-listers including Matt Damon, Bono and Anna Wintour, Editor and Chief of Vogue. There has already been rumors that Clooney promised Vogue first crack at his exclusive wedding photos.
After 72 hours of parties and star studded events, the two zipped off to Ca’ Farsetti, Venice’s 13th century town hall. There they had a short civil ceremony before their marriage was finally official.
After all the fun, the couple went to the Marco Polo airport, where they were flown off for their honeymoon. They are believed to be planning to spend their honeymoon in Marrakech. [more…]
