Let’s be honest. Once we heard the Alfonso Ribeiro was going to be on Dancing with the Stars this is all we were waiting for. With every passing week, I thought, “When is he going to pull out the secret weapon”. Just when fans were kind of forgetting about it, BOOM! Carlton pulls out the Carlton.

This was the perfect night to do it. First of all the competition was at an all-time emotional high. Jonathan Benett dedicated his dance to his father who died just four months ago and internet super star Bethany Mota dedicated her dance to bullying victims which brought the room to tears. If that wasn’t enough competition, Antonio Sabato Jr. performed shirtless

Alfonso knew it was going to be a tough week and also knew that “The Carlton” was his Ace card. To top it off, in judge Len Goodman’s absence home viewers got to score this week by calling in their votes as well. As you can imagine, Alfonso averaged a perfect score not only with home viewers but also with the notoriously picky judges as well.

In his pre-dance interview, Alfonso admitted resentment to the Carlton character because he felt that it type-casted him and prematurely ended his acting career. He has now gotten over that and has since fallen back in love with the character and the dance. He says he loves how the dance now makes people feel. He knew this is what we were all waiting for and said giving it to us was his goal for the week,

My number one goal this week is to please the fans and to give America what I feel they’ve been asking for since the beginning of this show: The Carlton.’
