Find Out Why Shia LaBeouf Slashed His Own Face And Had One Tooth Pulled

The troubled stars are always the ones with the most talent, huh? That certainly seems to be the case with Shia LaBeouf. It’s hard to deny his talents. He had the great comedic ability as a kid on Even Stevens, and then proved he had serious talent in movies like, The Greatest Game Ever Played, Holes and Lawless.

But could his performance in the upcoming war film Fury be his best yet? That’s what his co-stars want to you to believe. Logan Lerman revealed to British GQ that he’s never seen someone so committed to a character before.

“We were in makeup and they were putting cuts on Shia and I said, ‘Yeah, yeah, it looks good.’ And Shia was like, ‘No, it doesn’t look real.’ Then he walks out into the hallway and says, ‘Hey man, wanna see something fun? Check this out…’ and he takes out a knife and cuts his face. For the whole movie he kept opening these cuts on his face. That’s all real.”

Pretty badass, right? But it doesn’t end there. He even went to the dentist and had one tooth pulled, “He did go to a dentist and asked them to pull his tooth out, but yeah, what an odd request.”

Some of you might be thinking, “That’s all for show. He just wanted to seem like a big shot.” Well, not so fast. Lerman claims Shia was there every day, for every shot.

“He really spent every moment on that set. He’s the guy operating the turret in every shot, even when you don’t need to be in there as an actor. You know, you can have somebody else inside! But he was there every day, for every shot.”

And if you don’t trust Logan Lerman. What about Brad Pitt? This is what Mr. Pitt had to say about Shia.

“Oh, I love this boy. He’s one of the best actors I’ve ever seen. He’s full-on commitment, man. He’s living it like no one else, let me tell you. I’ve been fortunate to work with a lot of great actors. He’s one of the best I’ve seen.”
