The Duggar’s Family Secret? Josh Duggar Involved In Very Inappropriate Behavior with Young Women!
This scandal involves another high profile religious family. The Duggars. They are the family of the show which ran for 10 seasons on TLC called 19 and Counting. The family prides themselves in being devout Independent Baptists which is a recurring theme, not only on the show but also in their lives, which makes this story that much more infuriating.
The incidents involve the Duggar family’s eldest son Josh. Josh is now 27, married and the father of three with one on the way. He is a lobbyist for the Family Research Council and what many would consider the consummate family man…until now. He is
now a man with a hidden past that has suddenly been thrust into the spotlight.
Reality stars Josh and Anna Duggar have welcomed their third child!
In touch Weekly uncovered the story by obtaining a police report taken when family patriarch, Jim Bob Duggar and his wife Michelle were interviewed by police. The result is a 33 page police report with the details of how Josh, repeatedly, sexually assaulted four of his female siblings and another victim who was unrelated. Jim Bob found out about the incident and didn’t turn his son into authorities until over a year later.
JOSH ACTUALLY CONFESSED
According to the police report, the father was notified of the first incident in March of 2002 after the then 14 year old Josh was reported for touching one of the girls breasts and her genitals while she was sleeping. According to Jim, Josh admitted to these actions in July of 2002 and was disciplined but the police was never called.
The next incident occurred less than a year after Josh’s admission. This time, Josh was accused of touching the breasts and genitalia of several girls, sometimes when they were sleep but often time when they were awake.
At this time Jim Bob reported the incident to the Church elders. Noone alerted any official legal authorities at this time. They decided to discipline Josh by sending him away to a program. It was described as “counseling”,
a program [that] consisted of hard physical work and counseling. James said that [Josh] was in the program from March 17, 2003 until July 17, 2003.
Then later in the police report, Josh’s mom, Michelle Duggar admitted that the program was crap. Josh didn’t receive any counseling and instead had been sent to the house of a family friend.
it was not really a training center. Det. [Darrell] Hignite asked if the guy Josh talked to was a certified counselor. She said no. She said it was a guy they know in Little Rock that is remodeling a building. Det. Hignite asked if the guy was more of a mentor. She said “kind of.
HERE IS AN EVEN CRAZIER TWIST
In 2003 Jim bob and the church elders decided to turn Josh in, or at least scare him straight. They reached out to someone they knew, and Arkansas State Trooper by the name of Jim Hutchens. Jim did not take any official action and instead gave Josh a very stern talking to. This is against all protocols involving sexual assault cases. We later learned that this Officer Jim Hutchens is currently in jail himself. Guess why? Child pornography! (You can’t make this stuff up folks).
Hutchens is serving a 56 year prison sentence for child pornography. No wonder he gave Josh a pass. He was into the same mess!
WHO FINALLY SPILLED THE BEANS?
A friend of the family who knew what was going on wrote a letter that detailed all of Josh’s inappropriate behaviors and placed the letter in a book. The letter was forgotten about until the book was loaned to someone who found the letter inside.
This all happen about the same time the Duggars were scheduled to appear on Oprah. The show was sent an email warning them about the molestation. As you can imagine, Oprah don’t play. Harpo Studios faxed the letter to the Department of Human services hotline and the investigation was opened.
Jim Bob refused to bring Josh in for an interview and eventually Police had to abandon pursuing charges because the [then] three-year statute of limitations had expired.
Someone apparently tipped off In Touch Weekly who then obtained a copy of the police report. They say that it was obtained through the Freedom of information act.
However after a little digging I found this:
Arkansas code §12-18-104 which states “any data, records, reports, or documents that are created, collected, or compiled by or on behalf of the Department of Human Services, the Department of Arkansas State Police, or other entity authorized under this chapter to perform investigations or provide services to children, individuals, or families shall not be subject to disclosure under the Freedom of Information Act of 1967, 25-19-101 et seq.
So I don’t really know how they got the report, nor do I really care. It’s been verified and true.
Several of the family members who were interviewed by the police said that the incident actually brought them closer to God and that nothing happened after Josh returned home from the training center.
This is a family who believes that shorts and tank tops and women who wear skirts defraud others by encouraging lustful thoughts. I’m sure even if something did happen, they are protecting Josh.
