Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson Is Now A Real Life Superhero, Saves Puppy From Drowning Inside Pool!

We all know Dwayne Johnson loves to play larger than life characters on the big screen. He is known for kicking butt and saving the day, and it looks like The Rock loves to play those characters because HE IS those characters in real life.

Yesterday, the 43-year-old actor welcomed two French Bulldogs into his home. It was a little Labor Day surprise for the family, but it almost turned into a disaster when Dwayne let them run free in the backyard to go potty. He explained on Instagram that he was trying to teach them to potty outside like big boys, “I set them both down and they both take off in a full sprint and fall right into the deep end of our pool.”

No big deal, right? Most dogs, even puppies, will instinctively start to doggy paddle. And while that was the case for one of the puppies, the other puppy freaked out and started to sink.

I take off into a full sprint, fully clothed, dive in the pool, swim to the bottom, rescue my brick, I mean BRUTUS and bring him back to the edge of the pool. He was a little delirious…took a moment, threw up all the water he swallowed and looked up at me as if to say, ‘Thank God you didn’t have to give me mouth to mouth!’ and then ran off to play with his brother.

The Rock saves the day! Can you imagine how terrible he would feel right now if he wasn’t able to save Brutus? Labor Day would be ruined forever.

But the good news is that he did save Brutus, and he also learned a few lessons from this scary incident…

A few lessons I’ve learned today.. A) Not all puppies have the instinct to doggie paddle. B) Some puppies (like BRUTUS) will be so in shock by experiencing water they will sink extremely fast so react quick. C) While spiriting to save your puppies life, before you dive in, try and throw your cell phone to safety.
