Find Out What Made Selena Gomez Feel Super Old During Promotion For ‘Hotel Transylvania 2’

Selena Gomez is just 23-years-old. This means she has only been able to drink legally for two years now, but for some reason the actress/singer just doesn’t feel young anymore.

And it might have something to do with a confused little girl. While she was promoting her new movie, Hotel Transylvania 2, Gomez was asked by E! News if she ever thinks about a possible Wizards of Waverly Place reunion.

That’s when she shared this tragic story about getting older…

You know kids don’t even know who I am anymore. It made me so sad [because] I was literally doing an interview with this little girl…and I was like, ‘You know, when I did the show I was on,’ and she goes, ‘What show?’ I was like, what’s happening? I’m getting old!

Damn. Maybe the little girl wasn’t allowed to watch the show because she had oppressive, religious parents who didn’t want her watching anything involving that devil magic? I mean, Wizards of Waverly Place has only been off the air for a little over three years.

But in an interesting twist to this old puzzle, Gomez plays a mom in Hotel Transylvania 2. In the first film, she was still a “teenager,” but now she has a little half human, half vampire baby to look after. She called the experience “very weird” but then she admitted she felt super protective of her on-screen baby…

But at the same time, it was cool because when I saw Dennis, my son, I immediately became like super protective already. It was so precious. I just wanted to love him.

Oh yeah, you are definitely getting old, Selena. By the time Hotel Transylvania 3 comes out, you will probably be a Grandmother. Kids will be calling you Grammy Gomez, and at first you’ll be flattered because you’ll think they are talking about the Grammy Awards, but then you’ll figure out they are just calling you a Grandmother alternative.

How depressing. Please go support Hotel Transylvania 2 when it hits theaters tomorrow, Sept. 25. Selena needs the extra money. Those Social Security checks won’t even put gas in her car.
