Jim Carrey’s 28 Year Old Girlfriend Found Dead With an Apparent Suicide Note for Jim

Jim Carrey’s 28 year old girlfriend died on Monday and so far authorities are calling her death a suicide.  Cathriona White’s body was found in an LA home Monday night with pills beside it along with what authorities say is a suicide note.

The two apparently broke up last Thursday which I guess makes her technically is ex-girlfriend.  Cathriona’s friends were worried about her knowing that White and the 58 year old Carrey were having issues. When they hadn’t heard from her they called the authorities who rushed over to what we are assuming was her home.  She was pronounced dead at 8:40 PM

Cahtriona was a makeup artist who dated Carrey on and off since 2012.  In 2013 the two broke up but were seen together again in public holding hands in New York as late as this past May.

Chief Ed Winter of the LA County Coroner’s office released a statement confirming that there was a suicide note and it was indeed addressed to Jim Carrey.  Carrey himself also released the following statement,

I am shocked and deeply saddened by the passing of my sweet Cathriona. She was a truly kind and delicate Irish flower, too sensitive for this soil, to whom loving and being loved was all that sparkled. My heart goes out to her family and friends and to everyone who loved and cared about her. We have all been hit with a lightning bolt.

Cathriona sent out her last tweet the day that her and Jim reportedly broke up.  In hindsight it was pretty telling…..

An autopsy is underway and toxicology testing will be conducted to confirm the cause of death.  Currently no foul play is being considered.

Some of her friends posted on Instagram indicating that this was not the first time that Cathriona was suffering. Depression is real and we are often so self-involved that we can’t or do not take the time to understand and even care what others are going through; even our friends.   I’m not saying that was the case with Cathriona, but I’m just using her death as a reminder to everyone to listen and feel what people are trying to tell you.

This is truly a sad story but one cannot help but to wonder what exactly was in that suicide note.  Sorry…I’m a gossip blogger…..and you are a gossip reader so you are just as bad and you want to know too!

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Cathriona’s family and friend.  I found this great picture of her.  That is how she should be remembered.
