Nicki Minaj Denies Engagement, But Also Tells Ellen Her Next Ring Will Be “The Engagement Ring” (VIDEO)

Nicki Minaj is not engaged…at least not yet. The 33-year-old singer/rapper was on The Ellen DeGeneres Show this week and she talked a little about her relationship with Meek Mill. As most of you know, Nicki likes to keep her relationships private, but Ellen has a special connection with most celebrities, and she’s usually able to make them feel comfortable enough to let a few secrets slip.

Ellen got the conversation started by focusing on the impressive rings on Nicki’s fingers. The camera zoomed in on the rings, which made the superstar a little uncomfortable, “Are you really going to zoom in on my ashy hands? Come on, now. You have to prep women for that,” she said with a laugh.

After a few more jokes, Nicki got serious for a minute and explained that she does not have an engagement ring…

First of all, that’s not an engagement ring, right. I have two rings from this boy that likes me. That’s not my engagement ring though. He said that that’s my second ring and that if I get a third ring that that would be the engagement ring.

Of course, Ellen followed up by asking if she is ready for that third ring, and that’s when Nicki started to avoid answering the questions directly.

You know, I don’t know. And in fact, I don’t even want to say that I’m in a relationship anymore because I think when people hear that they go to like the mean place. I would rather not [speak about it], You know, I used to be secretive, I used to say I’m not in a relationship even though I was in a 12 year relationship. Now I feel like just going back to that and saying. ‘You know what, I’m single!’
