Oh No! Zayn Malik Has Anxiety Meltdown, Refuses To Perform At The Last Minute.

Imagine getting tickets to see Zayn Malik perform.  Arriving and the venue, watching opening acts just to find out that Zayn would not be coming out on stage!  Luckily he was one of many acts on Saturday night, but fans were devastated none the less.

The anxiety must have been really bad as Zayn flew from New York all the way to London to perform at the Capital Summertime Ball.

This is a mini-festival started in 2009 that his held in June put on by Global Radio.  It was held at Wembley Stadium this year for the seventh year in a row.  This is where Zayn was supposed to perform but pulled out at the last minute.

He was scheduled to take the stage at 8 PM but just could not go on.  Around 9:30 he felt he had to provide an explanation to all his fans so he posted an apology on Instagram:

To all those people who have been waiting to see me perform at the Capital Summertime Ball today..

I flew into the UK last night to appear in my home country in front of my family, friends, and most importantly my UK fans.’

Unfortunately my anxiety that has haunted me throughout the last few months around live performances has gotten the better of me.

With the magnitude of the event I have suffered the worst anxiety of my career

I cannot apologise enough but I want to be honest with everyone who has patiently waited to see me, I promise I will do my best to make this up to everybody I’ve let down today.

I know those who suffer anxiety will understand and I hope those who don’t can empathize with my situation.

The event was huge.  We have video of the crowd as they were informed that Zayn was NOT coming out.  They are lucky there wasn’t a riot!  Watch:

Don’t feel too bad.  The line-up for the event was HUGE, so Zayn was just one in a crazy list of superstars that included: Ariana Grande, Nick Jonas, Will.I.am, Flo Rida, Craig David,  The Vamps and more.

There could have been many contributing factors to Zayne’s meltdown.  We know that things are not going well with Gigi Hadid, we also know that despite their dressing rooms being located purposely apart, Perrie Edwards and Little Mix were there. Not to mention Christina Grimmie’s gruesome murder is still on everyone’s mind. We are sure that Zayn will bounce back.

Longtime Zayne fans will remember the time he was 17 on X factor Bootcamp when he was supposed to dance for the judges.  He nerves got the best of them then and he refused to pull out.  Simon Cowell had to talk him into it. I guess Simon wasn’t around last night. Here’s the clip:
