Kelly Clarkson Opens Up In New Interview, Talks About How Fame Put Her “In A Very Dark Place”
Kelly Clarkson. America’s favorite idol. By definition she is a celebrity, but her actions make her seem more like an old friend from high school.
In a new interview with Good Housekeeping, the 34-year-old singer talked about how difficult fame was for her in the beginning. She admitted to being in a very dark place for a long time. And it’s not that she didn’t appreciate her success, she just found it hard to manage.
“I was in a very dark place for a long time. It’s just so hard to have normalcy. I love to sing, and I love to talk to people at meet-and-greets. It’s just all the crap that comes along with this job. … I don’t love traveling, because I’m never home. It’s hard when you have a family.”
Clarkson has two children of her own, 2-year-old River Rose and 7-month old Remington, she’s also a step-mother to a 15-year-old and a 10-year-old.
She and her husband, Brandon Blackstock, are completely in love and even though they have a crazy life with four kids, they always find ways to have alone time together…
“We’ll get the kids to bed and go out by the lake with a glass of wine, and the next thing we know, it’s 2 a.m. We’re tired in the morning, but we need that time to stay connected.”
So what’s next for Kelly? We’re not sure, but we can tell you what’s not next for Kelly, and that’s another baby. She revealed to the magazine that she is done with pregnancy.
“I’m not going to be pregnant anymore — we scientifically made that impossible for both of us, because I have the world’s worst pregnancies. I basically told my Ob-Gyn, ‘If you don’t handle this and I get pregnant, I’m going to find you!’”
