Britney Spears Says She’s Not Returning To Music Because Of This Reason

Britney Spears is finally a free woman. Last month, her 13-year conservatorship officially came to an end. While under the conservatorship, she expressed interest in wanting to perform new songs while remixing some of her old songs, but she was not allowed to do so.

Now that she’s free, people thought she’d make a quick return to the music industry, but unfortunately, it doesn’t look like she’s any hurry.

She went on her Instagram account on Monday to let her fans know there’s just too much pain involved with music.

I guess it seems odd to most now why I don’t even do my music anymore…that’s just the surface issues. People have no idea the awful things that were done to me personally…and after what I’ve been through, I’m scared of people and the business!!!! Not doing my music anymore is my way of saying ‘F–k You’ in a sense.

This isn’t exactly a surprise. She has hinted at this before. Back in October, she revealed she was trying to stay clear of the business, but it was confusing/difficult because it was all she ever knew.

I’m sure at some point Britney will return to music. I’d bet a lot of money on it. When will it happen? Who knows, but you can bet she’ll drop a new album at some point.

In the meantime, she’s going to push herself to do other things she’s been too afraid to do…

My goal for this year is to push myself a bit more and do things that scare me but not too much. I do know what makes me happy and brings me joy and I try to meditate on those places and thoughts that enable me to experience it!!!!!
