Remember ‘Mighty Ducks’ Star Shaun Weiss? Well, He Just Celebrated Two Years Of Sobriety!
If you’ve been following the gossip blogs for a good amount of time, then you probably remember seeing photos of former ‘Mighty Ducks‘ star Shaun Weiss looking pretty rough.
The actor, who played the lovable Goldberg in the hit Disney film, developed a nasty drug addiction later in life, which led to the photo below going viral.

Thankfully, several of his old friends reached out to him following the arrest. They helped him enter rehab and a dentist even offered to give him a brand new set of teeth.
Thanks in part to the love he has received, Weiss has managed to stay sober for two years now. His close friend, Drew Gallagher, went on Instagram this past week to share how proud he was of Weiss for staying committed to his sobriety.
He shared side-by-side photos of the former actor, showing how much his physical appearance has improved the past two years.
Weiss shared the same photo to his own account, captioning it, “A journey of a thousand miles begins with 12 amazing steps,” referencing the classic 12-step recovery program.
It’s a pretty amazing transformation. Most people don’t make it back. He was down at the bottom. That mugshot was rough. But hey, he put in the effort and now it’s all about maintaining.
Well done, Goldberg. The Ducks would be proud. No doubt.
