Matthew McConaughey Claims He Never Received Hair Transplant, BUT HOW DID HIS HAIR GROW BACK?

If you’ve been following the career of Matthew McConaughey, then you know that in the late ’90s and early 2000s, it looked like he was on track to lose most of his hair.

Just take a look at this photo from 2000 compared to a photo from 2019…

Or heck, look at his freaking mugshot from 1999 when he was arrested for playing the bongos while naked…

His hair was clearly leaving his head. There’s no way his head should look like this over 20 years later…

So what the f**k happened? Well, everyone assumed that with his money, he most likely paid to have hair transplants. Heck, one doctor even confirmed it.

But now the 52-year-old actor is setting the record straight. He opened up about the hair loss in his 2020 book, Greenlights, and also in a recent interview with LADBible.

He claims his hair success is from a topical ointment…

I get this topical ointment and I rub it into my scalp, once a day for 10 minutes. I was fully committed, I was fully committed to it—no Propecia, no nothing, it was just manual labor. All I can tell you is it came back. I have more hair now than I had in 1999.

He did not reveal what this “topical ointment” is, which is a bit strange. You would think he’d want to share his secret with the world and help balding dudes everywhere.

He could be using some form of Minoxidil, however that’s not typically given in ointment form.

So who knows, maybe it’s some special rich person ointment that’s made from baby seals or something. * apparently the product is Regenix and it’s reportedly all natural… so there you go

In any event, he claims he’s never had a hair transplant, but where did the rumors come from? Well, apparently there was a surgeon going around taking credit for his hair growth at the international hair transplant convention, which sounds almost comical, but McConaughey swears it’s true.

And if you’re wondering if he’s ever gonna stop with the ointment, well, the answer is an obvious no, “I’m not gonna quit to see if like, ‘Oh, do I need to do it anymore?’ I’m not taking that chance.”
