Casey Affleck Writes Letter To Ben Affleck And Jennifer Lopez After Missing Their Wedding!
Ben Affleck’s younger brother, Casey Affleck, was spotted outside a Starbucks in Los Angeles on Saturday, August 20. And while that typically wouldn’t be a headline worthy event, it was on this particular day because his brother Ben was getting married to Jennifer Lopez thousands of miles away in Georgia.
The paparazzi asked him why he wasn’t at his big bro’s wedding, and he kinda mumbled, “I have other things,” which sounds like drama. You have other things? What things?
Insiders claim those “other things” were parental obligations at home. He shares an 18-year-old and a 14-year-old with his ex-wife, Summer Phoenix.
But at ages 18 and 14, you’d think the kids would be old enough to skip town for the weekend to see their uncle get married, so unless they had a really important obligation, that excuse doesn’t really check out.
In any event, Casey went on his Instagram account on Sunday (August 21) to write a sweet little note to Ben and Jen.
Good things are worth waiting for. Here is to twists and turns, new beginnings, and finding new reservoirs of old love. Welcome to the family. Get ready for some real dysfunction! Kidding. I am kidding. Jen, you are a gem. We love you so much!!! ❤️
Strange stuff. If he’s supportive of the relationship and loves Jen “so much” WHY DIDN’T HE SHOW UP TO THE WEDDING?
We could speculate for days. Maybe one of his kids has COVID. Who knows. Maybe he was just feeling lazy and didn’t think the wedding was that important because they technically already got married in Vegas.
Casey may not have been at the wedding, but lots of other people were, including Kevin Smith, Matt Damon, Jennifer’s kids, Ben’s kids, and many more.
An eyewitness told E! News the following:
At the end of the ceremony, they posed for family photos on the dock by the water. It was very romantic and classic. They had an old-fashioned car parked in front of the estate ready to take them away. J.Lo was ecstatic and there were a lot of tears of joy and laughter. Her smile said it all.
