Migos Rapper Takeoff Shot And Killed In Houston After Private Party In Bowling Alley
Geez. Another rapper has been shot dead. Takeoff, who was one third of the super popular rap group Migos, was shot and killed Tuesday morning in downtown Houston.
According to multiple witnesses, the shooting went down at around 2:30 in the morning. That’s when the 911 calls first came in, detailing how a man had been shot at a bowling alley called 810 Billiards & Bowling Houston.
We’re told Takeoff and Quavo were there playing dice when an altercation broke out and that’s when someone opened fire, shooting Takeoff … either in the head or near his head. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
You can see in the video below a small group of people surrounding Takeoff, who is presumably dead on the ground. At one point, you can hear Quavo on the phone with 911 asking, “What does she need to do?” in a panic.
Two other victims were taken to the hospital, but we don’t believe their injuries were life threatening.
Just a few hours before the shooting, Takeoff had posted a photo of himself lighting up at the bowling alley. And hours before that, he was driving around town with Quavo and Jas Prince.
For those who don’t know, Takeoff was the youngest member of Migos. Quavo was his uncle and Offset was his cousin.
They came together as a group in 2008 in Georgia, and became multi-platinum hitmakers … dropping their first major hit, ‘Versace,’ in 2013. They would hit number one on Billboard in 2016 with ‘Bad and Boujee.’
We’re sure more details will be released in the coming days, but it’s just another sign of the growing danger rappers are in these days.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to Takeoff’s friends and family.
