The Queen Is Returning: Beyonce Announces 2023 ‘Renaissance’ World Tour
Got some money in the bank? You may want to hit up Ticketmaster because Beyonce just announced her highly anticipated ‘Renaissance‘ world tour.
The 41-year-old singer plans to kick off the North American leg of the tour on July 8 in Toronto. She’ll then move down to Chicago, New York City, Boston, Atlanta, Miami, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Houston, New Orleans, and a few other cities.
But before all those dates, she’ll be getting warmed up over in Europe. The tour officially kicks off in May in Sweden. You can go to her official website to check out all the dates and locations. The plan is to wrap up the tour in September, so it’ll be a solid four months of touring for Beyonce.
‘Renaissance,’ the Grammy winner’s seventh album, dropped to much acclaim in July and her devoted fan base, the Bey Hive, has been waiting on word of a tour since then.
Fans of the star will remember her last world tour was titled ‘On the Run II‘ back in 2018. It featured her and Jay-Z together onstage in nearly 50 stops across North America and Europe.
It’s great timing to release a tour announcement as Beyonce is set to take home some awards this Sunday during the Grammys. Her album is nominated in several different categories.
Some people are upset with Beyonce though after she performed in the United Arab Emirates, where homosexuality is illegal.
Although ‘Renaissance’ pays homage to the queer roots of house music, Queen Bey notably did not perform any songs from the album during her hour-long Jan. 21 show.
She was reportedly paid $24 million to headline the event, which was invitation-only.
Money talks, huh?
