Jessica Simpson Reveals Secret Affair She Had With A Huge Movie Star Years Ago (WE HAVE A GUESS)

In her 2020 memoir, Open Book, Jessica Simpson talked a lot about her past relationships. She covered her high-profile romances with Nick Lachey, John Mayer, Johnny Knoxville, Tony Romo and more.

But she did NOT talk about this. In her recent ‘Movie Star: They Always Say They’re Single’ essay, Simpson remembered a wild fling she had with an unnamed movie star.

In the essay, which was published this week, Simpson describes meeting the huge movie star for the first time at the 2001 Video Music Awards. Simpson would have been 20 or 21-years-old at the time.

This megastar, who I grew up thinking was so hot, eyeballed me up and down. Like he was undressing me with his eyes.

She ended up getting his number at the afterparty, but decided she wasn’t ready to take things further with this mystery man. Later that same year, Simpson got back with Lachey and pretty much cut off all communication with this movie star.

But once she and Lachey divorced in 2006, Simpson reconnected with this dude and they shared their first kiss at the Beverly Hills Hotel. She remembers feeling a “warm rush” down her body after the kiss. At the time, this movie star assured Simpson his relationship with his girlfriend was completely over.

The twosome went on to embark on a whirlwind romance, attending events at nightclubs together and bonding over the birth of Simpson’s goddaughter. The fashion designer even visited her man on a movie set, however, that trip made her feel like she was only there to ‘have sex’ with her famous fling.

She admits there was something incredibly sexy about it all, but she started to feel like a call girl. She started to get the impression he was trying to hide her, and that’s when she knew she had to end it.

I didn’t care if he was my teenage fantasy come to life, this was not a choice that same girl, my younger self, would be proud of.

So who is this dude? Unfortunately, we can’t say 100% sure who it was, but it seems likely it was Mark Wahlberg. He was a presenter at the 2001 VMAs and had started dating his future wife in 2001… so it kinda checks out.
