Jenna Bush Hager Claims Her Ex Broke Up With Her After Seeing Her In A Bathing Suit

During a three-minute confessional on Wednesday’s broadcast of the ‘Today‘ show, Jenna Bush Hager revealed that she still dreads pool parties after being dumped by her boyfriend in the 7th grade.

She said, “It’s so interesting because people really do hit you right where it hurts,” and then remembered how her boyfriend in the 7th grade broke up with her after seeing her in a bathing suit for the first time.

I had a boyfriend in seventh grade who broke up with me after we went swimming together. After he saw me in a bathing suit. I feel like even sometimes now when I feel great — I have three kids, three C-sections, I feel really in my body and I think of it as a beautiful thing — I’ll walk in a pool and have a moment.

That pain has followed Jenna around her whole life, which is one of the reasons she is trying her best to raise her kids to be respectful and empathetic.

For those who don’t know, she shares two daughters (9, 7) and a 3-year-old son with her husband, Henry Hager.

All we want is loving children. We don’t need the star kid, the this, the that. We want kids that are kind. The way you do that is model it.

Sounds good to us. I think more people should focus on that. We all want our kids to be successful, but perhaps even more important, we should be wanting them to be kind.
