Taylor Swift’s Boyfriend Matty Healy Says If You’re Offended By His Previous Remarks, You’re Probably Mental

Could Taylor Swift’s boyfriend Matty Healy be any more unlikable? Yes. Totally. Completely. ‘The 1975‘ frontman, who has been dating Swift for over a month now, recently talked with the New Yorker.

And during the interview, the 34-year-old singer was asked about the controversial ‘Adam Friedland Show‘ podcast episode he took part in earlier this year. The episode was so offensive that multiple platforms removed it, including Spotify.

In the episode, the hosts of the show (and Matty) mocked Ice Spice, calling her an “Inuit Spice Girl” and a “chubby Chinese lady.” They also did some pretty offensive Chinese and Hawaiian accents. Also in this episode, Matty admitted to masturbating to “Ghetto Gangers,” which is a p*rn website featuring content that humiliates and sexually degrades women of color.

There was a lot wrong in the podcast, but Matty says anyone who is offended is fake or a bit mental.

Nobody is sitting there at night slumped at their computer, and their boyfriend comes over and goes, ‘What’s wrong, darling?’ and they go, ‘It’s just this thing with Matty Healy.’ You’re either lying that you are hurt, or you’re a bit mental for being hurt. It’s just people going, ‘Oh, there’s a bad thing over there, let me get as close to it as possible so you can see how good I am.’ And I kind of want them to do that, because they’re demonstrating something so base level.

Yikes. That might be the douchiest quote I’ve ever read. Look, he’s not wrong. No one is slumped over their computer distraught over the podcast episode. It’s not ruining their month.

However, that doesn’t mean no one was offended. It also doesn’t mean people can’t call you an asshole because of it. That’s what I don’t get with these people who say dumb sh*t and then act like the victim of cancel culture.

You can say all the dumb sh*t you want! And if someone no longer wants to f**k with your sh*t because you sound like a douche, that’s perfectly okay.

Honestly, I was on the fence with this dude, but after this interview? It’s a no from me. Also, I know this isn’t nice to say, but does he not have the most punchable face in all of history?

Look up “white privilege” in the dictionary, and you’ll see this dude staring back at you with his tongue out.
