American Idol Drama: Kelly Clarkson Addresses Alleged Beef Between Her And Carrie Underwood
Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood are arguably the most popular artists to come from American Idol. They have both had massive success in the music industry, and for some reason, people have often pitted them against each other.
There has been a long rumored beef between the two stars, but during a recent episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Clarkson finally stuck a fork in the supposed beef.
A viewer brought up Carrie Underwood during the Q&A session of the show, and before the viewer could finish her question, Clarkson interrupted.
I think I know where you’re going with this. People always pit us together, and we don’t even know each other well enough to be pitted together. Literally, we’ve run into each other a handful of times. There’s no beef between us.
She then allowed the viewer to finish their question, and much to everyone’s surprise, the question had nothing to do with the drama. The viewer simply wanted to know what her favorite part of having Underwood as a guest on her show was. As the viewer asked the question, Clarkson got out of her seat and walked behind the onstage bar to take a drink.
Everybody always asks me the ‘pitted against each other’ question. The interview was awesome. The thing that was cool about it is that everybody always pits us against each other. They don’t do that with dudes.
So there you have it. There’s zero beef between Clarkson and Underwood. They are both supportive of each other’s careers, and honestly, why wouldn’t they be? There’s more than enough room from both of their stars to shine.
