Kimora Lee Simmons Says She’s A “Tough Chick” After Accusing Ex Russell Simmons Of Abuse

If you missed it, back on Father’s Day, Kimora Lee Simmons and her daughters Ming Lee and Aoki Lee, called out Russell Simmons for being abusive and causing them a great deal of trauma.

20-year-old Aoki claimed that her father would constantly yell and scream. She says every phone call with him was filled with rage.

I did not side with anyone over any legal business, he’s been directly harmful TO ME. He tries to get at my mom by hurting US. It got to the point … I could not hear your voice without having an anxiety attack.

She shared a screen recording of a FaceTime call that was muted but showed Russell screaming at her. She noted she had blocked him for not respecting her boundaries, but added she still loves him.

As for Russell’s other daughter, Ming? Well, she didn’t drop the tea like Aoki, but she did throw major shade by wishing Kimora a Happy Father’s Day instead of Russell.

Kimora shared a similar statement to Aoki, saying just hearing the sound of Russell’s voice would cause her great panic. During a recent appearance at the Essence Festival of Culture, Kimora called herself a tough chick and noted she was doing okay.

I’m always OK. I’m a tough chick. I’m a single mom of five kids. That’s why I’m here because so many women are here. So much black girl joy, brown girl joy, all the shades of joy. So, it just feels good for me to be in a room like this.

As for Russell? Well, he responded to the initial claims on his Instagram account, apologizing for being frustrated and yelling at times, but denying any claims of abuse.

DEEPLY sorry for being frustrated and yelling . . .but know this . . . there are no conditions . . . for sure i love you guys more than i love myself.

He then added a message to himself, writing, “God is testing you a little bit, it’s ok, be strong.”
