Kevin Costner Ordered To Pay Nearly $130k In Monthly Child Support Payments
Last month, we told you that Kevin Costner’s estranged wife, Christine Baumgartner, was requesting $248,000 in monthly child support. Costner and his team asked the judge to pay around $50,000 a month.
Both totals seem like extreme amounts to raise just three children, but apparently these children are living a life of extreme luxury.
Anyway, the judge finally made a ruling in the case and ordered Costner to pay his estranged wife $129,000 a month in child support. In addition to that insane figure, the judge also ordered the 68-year-old actor to pay $200,000 in attorney’s fees and $100,000 in forensic costs.
The former couple, who tied the knot in 2004, will each be required to pay 50 percent of their kids’ health care expenses, sports and extracurricular activities, per the outlet.
Yeah, that’s right, the $129,000 a month doesn’t even include health care and extracurricular activities. Apparently, the $129k a month is just a matter of survival.
I mean, how is one supposed to live on less than $129k a month? If you’re wondering $129k a month comes out to around $1.5 million a year… IN CHILD SUPPORT!
Costner and Christine had been married for 18 years. It’s believed Costner may have cheated on her with a co-worker, which may explain why she’s going after him so hard in court.
Geez. Imagine going through all this drama at the age of 68. That’s crazy. He’s got all this money and fame, and he’s still miserable, and he’s pushing 70!
Not ideal.
