Beyonce’s Mom Tina Knowles Has Filed For A Divorce From Her Actor Husband Richard Lawson

At 69-years-old, Tina Knowles is getting her second divorce. According to court docs obtained by multiple sites, Tina walked inside a Los Angeles county courthouse this week to make the divorce filing official.

Of course, she went with the classic Hollywood reasoning of irreconcilable differences.

The businesswoman is not asking the court to grant her or her soon-to-be ex-husband any spousal support. They do not share any children.

She married this Richard Lawson character back in 2015, but they had known each other for decades. They had always been just friends until they went out on an official date back in 2013. They fell in love and had a decent eight years of marriage, but apparently they faced some difficult times the past year.

Rumors of a potential split started hitting the web earlier this month when fans noticed that Tina didn’t join Lawson on his press tour for his film, Black Terror, which he actually directed, so it was a pretty big deal for him.

In the docs, Tina is asking the court to terminate the court’s ability to award spousal support to her or Richard. Tina’s apparently changed her name to Celestine Lawson when she married Richard … and now she wants to have her named restored to Celestine Knowles.

Her first marriage was to Mathew Knowles, and that marriage produced Beyonce and Solange. They were married for 30 years before announcing their divorce in 2011.

We’ll see if Tina tries out marriage for a third time.
