JoJo Siwa Says She No Longer Feels Guilty About Calling Candace Cameron Bure The Rudest Celebrity
Remember the beef no one saw coming in July of 2022? JoJo Siwa called out ‘Full House‘ star Candace Cameron Bure during a TikTok challenge, calling her the rudest celebrity she’s ever met.
She said her experience meeting her when she was just 11-years-old was “rough” and Bure was very rude. After the clip went viral, Bure reached out to JoJo and apologized. JoJo then expressed how she felt guilty for calling her out, not knowing how big of a thing it was going to become.
But now, JoJo says she no longer feels guilty because Bure is against gay marriage.
During Thursday’s episode of the ‘Viall Files‘ podcast, the 20-year-old star said she stopped feeling bad when Bure talked about wanting to focus only on “traditional” marriages on the Great American Family network.
For a while I regretted it, but after I found out that article about her not wanting anything to do [with] LGBTQIA+ … that’s my people. And I have to stand up for my people. It’s fine if you are doing it because it’s just your movie’s storyline and it’s just it is what it is, like … not everything needs to be gay essentially. But when you’re doing it out of spite to say that, ‘Too much is about LGBTQIA+ and you guys suck and I want to make a movie about traditional marriage and you’re not traditional,’ that got to me a little bit.
When Bure joined the Great American Family network, she praised them for being Christians who love the lord, and stated she knows they want to promote faith programming and good family entertainment.
And apparently, good family entertainment does not include gay marriage.
For JoJo, Bure’s comment gave her clarity…
After reading [the article], it gave me a little sense of, ‘OK, you and her are never going to agree, you and her are never going to be friends [or] get along.
