Emma Roberts Apologizes To Former ‘AHS’ Co-Star For Alleged Transphobic Remarks While Filming
Earlier this week, actress Angelica Ross called out her former ‘American Horror Story‘ co-star Emma Roberts during an Instagram Live session.
Ross told her followers that back in 2019, while filming the ninth season of the show, Emma misgendered her on set. Ross says she was standing in front of Emma talking to her when Emma called out to a crew member and said, “John! Angelica’s being mean!”
And I know she’s not being for real, for real — she’s just being whatever — and John is like, ‘OK, ladies, that’s enough, let’s get back to work.’ And [Roberts] then looks at me and goes, ‘Don’t you mean lady?’
Whoops. Ross claims she was so caught off guard by the comment that it took a minute to process it, and by the time she had, Emma had already walked away.
She decided not to address the issue because she was afraid she’d be the one to get in trouble…
Because … if I say something, it’s going to be me that’s the problem. And I know this because there was someone who spoke up about what she was doing and they got repercussions from it. Not her, they did. So when I saw that happen, I was just like, ‘I’m done. I’m done.’ I didn’t speak to that bitch the entire time after that. So we had scenes together, and I never spoke to her, and she said to me — she could feel the energy coming off of me — and she was like, ‘Are you OK? You haven’t been talking,’ And I was like ‘mhm’ because bitch don’t play me.
Damn. She’s trying to cancel Emma! And it was working. Emma was receiving loads of hate online this week, and apparently it was impacting her career enough to call up Ross personally and apologize.
On Thursday, Ross jumped on her Twitter account to tell her followers that Emma called her privately and asked for her forgiveness.
All good?
