Malia Obama Caught Smoking Again Outside A Gas Station In Los Angeles
In Barack Obama’s 2020 memoir, A Promised Land, he gave partial credit to his daughter Malia for helping him quit smoking for good, writing that seeing his eldest daughter’s disappointment after she smelled “tobacco” on his breath made him never want to smoke again.
You’ll remember, Barack used to be a heavy smoker, but his wife Michelle told him he had to quit before running for President. In a 2009 press conference, he told the media:
As a former smoker, I constantly struggle with it. Have I fallen off the wagon sometimes? Yes. Am I a daily smoker or a constant smoker? No.
And now, even though Malia once expressed disappointment in Barack for smoking, it looks like she has picked up the unfortunate habit as well.
The 25-year-old was caught smoking a cigarette outside a gas station in Los Angeles on Wednesday, October 4.
The daughter of former President Barack Obama was photographed puffing on the cig while chatting with a friend and standing next to a black car. She appeared to be relaxed while wearing a blue cardigan, brown trousers and black shoes.
Of course, this isn’t the first time she’s been photographed smoking a little something-something. Back in 2016, she was pictured smoking a joint at the Lollapalooza festival in Chicago. Weeks later, she was spotted wearing a “smoking kills” t-shirt at another festival.
It’s worth noting that her younger sister Sasha has also been caught smoking cigarettes as recently as last month, so it looks like the smoking habit is being passed down.
Hopefully they can kick it before it becomes more of a problem.
