Britney Spears Claims She Had An Abortion While Dating Justin Timberlake
In Britney Spears’ upcoming memoir, The Woman in Me, she is letting all her secrets out. The marketing team responsible for hyping this book up is doing an incredible job by releasing little nuggets from the manuscript.
And the most recent nugget is a pretty juicy one.
In the book, which is set to hit stores Oct. 24, Britney claims she had an abortion during her relationship with Justin Timberlake back in 2000. She says the pregnancy was a “surprise” at the time, but not exactly a “tragedy” for her because she always thought she’d start a family with Timberlake.
But he wasn’t ready.
But Justin definitely wasn’t happy about the pregnancy. He said we weren’t ready to have a baby in our lives, that we were way too young. I’m sure people will hate me for this, but I agreed not to have the baby. I don’t know if that was the right decision. If it had been left up to me alone, I never would have done it. And yet Justin was so sure that he didn’t want to be a father.
Damn. Just straight calling him out. Sources connected to Timberlake previously revealed the singer was concerned about what Spears might share in her memoir.
One insider claimed it had been “eating at him” for the past few months. Thankfully, if this is the worst that’s in the book, he should be okay. After all, they were both young at the time and given Britney’s trajectory, she definitely wasn’t ready for a kid. It was probably the right move.
After their high-profile breakup in 2002, Timberlake infamously implied during an interview with Barbara Walters that Spears had cheated on him, which the ‘Toxic’ singer neither confirmed nor denied at the time.
Who could forget his ‘Cry Me A River‘ music video? No doubt he was sending a message.
