Britney Spears Claims Her Dad Forced Her To Eat Chicken And Canned Vegetables For Years
Britney Spears’ memoir, The Woman in Me, which just hit shelves on Oct. 24th, is sparking lots of controversy. In the book, Britney is supposedly “telling her truth,” which has already included spilling the tea on her relationship with Justin Timberlake. She claims he basically forced her to get an abortion when they were together and cheated on her.
But Timberlake wasn’t the only one doing her wrong. The 41-year-old pop star is also calling out her father, Jamie Spears, for his controlling behavior.
In her book, she claims while Jamie was her conservator, he forced her to eat an extremely bland diet to control her weight.
So for two years, I ate almost nothing but chicken and canned vegetables. Two years is a long time to not be able to eat what you want, especially when it’s your body and your work and your soul making the money that everyone’s living off of. Two years of asking for french fries and being told no. I found it so degrading.
She also says her dad was “always” calling her fat, and she believes the strict diet was some form of abuse because they had a chef inside the house who could have made her gourmet meals.
“I’ll be honest, I was f**king miserable,” she wrote in her book. A rep for Jamie has refused to speak on the allegations made by Britney in her book.
She has called out a lot of people in this memoir. It’ll be interesting to see if any of them speak out to try to clear their name.
